Digital I takes you from the Auto setting to controlling your camera.
Trying to understand the manual that came with your new Digital SLR camera is like trying to read the dictionary. It can be very frustrating. We’ve all been there. Let us help you understand the wheels, knobs, and menus of your camera and how to use them.
Master shutter priority, aperature priority and manual settings. We also cover some composition techniques used by professional photographers.

Digital I , Part B is
A three hour program designed for those who only have time to commit to 3 hours
rather than a full day and also for those who feel they learn better by taking
smaller segments at a time.
Part B will cover :
By completing Digital I Part A and Part B you will have completed a full Digital I course.
Utilizing the skills you learned in our Digital I photography course you will now learn to recognize and evaluate light. Identify how light impacts your photographs and how to capitalize on this to enhance your photos.
More aspects of your camera will be revealed. You will also learn simple and practical tips, as well as more composition tools. You learn a technique and then you will have the opportunity to practise it. Learn what ingredients make a great photograph and, more importantly, how to incorporate them into telling your story, whether at home or on distant travels. Digital II will take you from being a “picture taker” to a creative artist.
As with our Digital I class, our classes are small which means you’ll receive lots of help when you need it.

When you first start taking photographs, you may think you don’t need cataloging and editing for your work. As the photographs start to clog your computer and you have photos that you know need some help, you will start to look for a software program that can help. The choices are overwhelming.
Adobe Lightroom is a powerful, yet simple program used by beginner and professional photographers. Let us help you get comfortable using this valuable tool. We’ll show you why and how.

You will need a laptop computer with accessories to plug it in, and Adobe Lightroom on your computer (start with the 30 day trial version if you don’t already own it).
With the advent of digital SLR’s, the night has become a veritable feast of photographic opportunities.
