The rise of warm weather is upon us. You might as well make the most out of the sunny forecasts while you can, because well, it’s Calgary…plus the warmer the weather, the less likely your camera will run out of battery juice!
Here’s a list of some Calgary events to check out for the the week of February 10th (AND don’t forget to bring your camera!)
Chocolate fans, this one’s for you! Try out different hot chocolate creations from a variety of vendors across Calgary! Proceeds from each drink you purchase will go to supporting Calgary Meals on Wheels, helping Calgarians get nutritious and affordable meals.
2. Glow Downtown Winter Lights Festival
Take in some wonderfully vibrant sights throughout the downtown core! Streets will be decorated with one-of-a-kind interactive light installations, as well as local art and theatrical talent. This event runs February 17 – 20, 2017 from 6:30pm to 11pm daily.
This events takes place on the first day of April from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. But don’t be fooled – you’re guaranteed to find something special browsing the various vendors’ homemade items and crafts!
4. The 26-Hour Improv Marathon
On February 10th & 11th, improv performers will be on stage for 26 sleepless hours of live acting, with a different show every hour. This comedic show is 100% free to view for any audience member (but tips will be appreciated!)
Market Collective is hosting a variety of Valentines Day workshops. You can spoil yourself with their necklace making session, or explore the creative process of making your own soap. Regardless of what workshop you choose, you’ll be taking home valuable skills that you never knew you had!
